Help! I have been trying to fix these problems and I am not a computer
literate user! The cd/dvd drive in my HP Entertainment Notebook PC
doesn't work properly. It ejects discs when it should not and when it
does play a video the sound and video are garbled and not in sync. I
have tried going to disc device manager and unchecking automatic ejec.
I found that when clicking on the hardware tab the hardware is on the
wrong one. When I select _NECDVD+RWND-645OA and then shutting down the
computer and closing the drive with the video I want to play it works
perfectly for a while and then does the same thing all over again.
When I go back to device manager and go to the Hardware tab, the
selection is once again back on the wrong hardware(TOSHIBA WK6025GAS.
Can some one -step by step help me fix this thing!? Thanks, Be well,
Ed Cramer

What's your Windows version?

In the Device Manager, what are the drives listed under "Disk drives"
and "DVD/CD-ROM drives"? Your hard disk should be listed under "Disk
drives" and your cd/dvd drives should be listed under "DVD/CD-ROM
drives". Is the Toshiba hard disk?

If your hard disk is listed under "Disk drives", right-click all the
drives listed under "DVD/CD-ROM drives" and choose "Uninstall". Then
reboot and let Windows find and reinstall the drives.
